1. Introduction
One of the best parts about CheckIn is that you can save tons of time by not having to do double data entry into GSX. CheckIn is the conduit to most of what can happen with GSX and basic repairs. As we know, Apple is always evolving GSX and there are a lot of growing pains along the way. The GSX APIs do not allow for all GSX interactions to occur within CheckIn but we work hard to implement everything that is possible and what Apple allows for!
Even though it’s up to your organization to make sure each technician has a full understanding of the workings of GSX, we have provided this guide to help you get a good grasp of how to properly interact with SROs and GSX.
The first part of this guide is about working with the CheckIn SRO workflow and various things to keep in mind when working with CheckIn & GSX. Page 10-11 will list some Features & Best Practices. Page 12 is about Mail-In repairs and the tools we have to work with that to make life a bit easier.
The last 3 pages are about GSX Lookup issues and what to do, double checking that your technician’s Apple ID is properly setup and GSX settings setup info in CheckIn if not already done.
As always, we look forward to your input, ideas and anything that will help us make CheckIn even better for our Apple service community!
