Workstation Setup

Downloads for all versions of FileMaker as well as our certificate file can be found on this page.

  1. Move ConnectWise/ScreenConnect to Application folder & to Dock
  2. Upload CheckIn Documentation
  3. Upload CheckIn POS Deployment Files folder
  4. Install Fonts (Open each font in Window & click Install button.)
  5. Download & Move FileMaker license file to Documents folder (CheckIn-FMP-LicenseCert.fmcert)
  6. Install FileMaker client
  7. Put FileMaker on Dock
  8. Give workstation its own FileMaker name (Windows: User Name)
  9. Setup CheckIn to startup in FileMaker Prefs
  10. Do workstation setup
    • POS Screen ?
    • Set Printer ID
    • Full Page Printing
    • Receipt Printing (Go to Printing radio button under Setting Tab to activate Receipt Printer)
    • Label Printing
    • Test Barcode scanner
  11. Add Walk-In Customer
  12. Add Misc. Product
  13. Review Departments to make sure they have taxes assigned.
  14. Go to Fabric Dept to setup skinny label & Default Label @ One Per Item
    • Bolts 1.25x2.25
    • Notions - square 1”x1” (most notions have small packaging)
