In case the GSX setup was not done during your server’s setup because of still waiting on this information from Apple, below are the steps you need to take to set up GSX in CheckIn.
- From the main CheckIn Dashboard click the More button then Admin. Go into Company Setup > Company > Global Settings > GSX
- Enter the names of the pem files (These are entered by default, but do double check)
- api_gsx_cert_pemfile = gsx_production.pem
- api_gsx_cacert_pemfile = cacert.pem
- Enter the Private Key Passphrase (that you initially used) into api_gsx_privateKeyPassword field. TRIPLE CHECK THIS PASSWORD
- Enter your GSX Ship To & Sold To code (usually the same if one store and if the store is HQ as well) make sure each one is 10 digits long.
If you have more than one store go to the Store/Sites tab to enter all the stores Sold to/Ship to info, even the first store. - Make sure you select https://partner-connect.apple.com/gsx/api/ for the Base URL
- Make sure the values shown in bold are entered exactly as shown:
- Default Vendor = Apple Service
- Default Dept. = Service Parts
- Default Service Dept. (for labor reimbursements)= Apple Warranty Service
- Enter default markup you desire that will be added to parts as they enter CheckIn (ex. .30 for 30%)
- Test GSX connection by creating an account with Tech ID in Company Setup >Employees
- While logged in as Admin setup other users and have them add their Apple ID used with GSX and GSX Tech ID when they log in with their accounts.
Admin > Employee Setup > Employee Card > Information Tab > GSX Tab at the bottom under Accounts & Access- Then they have to get an Activation Token.
- Test connection with Test Connection button back at employee card.
- Setup new Supplier named “Apple Service” in Supplier Dashboard if not already there as default.
